This photo was taken in Alva, OK at Bradley Studios. It is not dated. It was found among the family photos of my grandmother, Myrtle Edith Ditzenberger (b.8 Nov 1908 in Alva, Woods Co., OK, d. 9 May 1992, Wichita, Sedgwick Co., KS). Her father was Wesley Jacob (Jacob Wesley) Ditzenberger (b.14 Jul 1879 in Eagle, Boone Co., IN, d.1909, Alva, Woods Co., OK). It could be Wesley Jacob, who died at age 29, but it is not labeled as such. Myrtle's mother was Capatola Viola Eller (b. Jun 1887, Okla Territory, d. 1956, CO). She had several brothers. It could be one of my grandmother's uncles or someone else altogether, although the way it was found and the format suggests a family relationship.
Does anyone have information about Bradley's Studio in Alva? Perhaps dates it operated? Would anyone like to take a guess at the era of this photo from the man's appearance?
If anyone knows who this man is or has any guesses, I would love to hear from you.
